About the Forestry Department

The Department of Forestry & Natural Resources at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna (HNB) Garhwal University is situated at the picturesque Chauras Campus in Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Functioning under the School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, this premier department offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programs, including B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Forestry.

Driven by a commitment to environmental sustainability, the department emphasizes hill agroforestry, ecosystem management, and biodiversity conservation.
